Moonglow Summer Events

 

Moonglow Jewelry is a unique concept as you know. If you’re one of our many fans, you should note that our Moonglow Jewelry summer-fall events will be coming to a city near you. Our summer-fall events will be a very special tour because we will be offering great and fun contests as well as a new range of products. Our carefully hand finished jewelry will get your hearts racing; and you will be able to have a special memento of a special moment in your life. Every moment has a moon.

From the 8th of June, we are going to be on the road, starting from San Diego California. We can be found at the San Diego County Fair for almost a month so that should give you plenty of time to visit us if you are in the San Diego area. However, if you can’t make it to San Diego, then come along and visit us from July 12th to August 11th at the Orange County Fair in the O.C. We would certainly love to see you there.

If you live in Ohio or Wisconsin, we will be visiting from the end of July through to Mid August and our travels continue through to New York until September. However, we will also be at the L.A. County fair and in Puyallup WA for the Puyallup Fair, then you can see us from the end of August, through to late September. We are touring all over the country and throughout the year we will be visiting Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Orleans, Texas; and that is just in America. We will be touring throughout Canada also in areas of Ontario and Quebec also. So you can never miss us! We are going to be everywhere waiting to see you! You can see all of our stunning range of Moonglow Jewelry on offer and we guarantee you will love it! We are even able to offer some of our services in the United Arab Emirates

Hey Everyone!  Iradora here. Hope you had a great day today.  I hear they had a 4.0 earthquake in San Diego a few hours ago.  My brother, Glomor is out there on a surf trip with some friends. He said he was sitting on the beach when it happened. He thought Uncle Milky was experimenting with some of his DSFP #2  (Dimension Shifting Fairy Powder) which is still in its developmental stages.  Last time Uncle Milky used it back at the base, he ended up in a crater on the other side of the Moon instead of a parallel dimension. Oh well, practice makes perfect, I hope.  My brother said everything’s ok in San Diego. I thought we had an earthquake back at the hotel room last night but I guess it was just Charlie Sheen in the next room.

In case you haven’t heard, yet, we’re having a contest!  You could win $500.00 worth of jewelry. As for the rest of you Moonglow Lovers, hope you enter soon. I’ll be watching and reading.  Oh, the SPCA called me earlier today. They found the pink bat and he was still wearing Keiths’ pendant! So, I have the pendant and I guess I’m just going to deliver it prehistorically – through your Post Office.  As for the bat, well, looks like I have a new pet.  Had to shrink him to keep him. Glomor flew out with some (Shrink-It Fairy Dust) for me.  He’s kind’a cute, in a vampirish sort of way. The bat, not my brother.  Got him a rhinestone-studded collar and leash today.  I only shrink him at night.  He wouldn’t survive out there in the concrete jungle of Syracuse if he were the size of a grape. Still debating what I should call him.   Thinking of calling him Syrie – you know… for Syracuse.   Yawn.  Well, I’m off to watch a movie on Netflix before bed.  I think I’m going to watch…Hook…Julia Roberts makes a wicked-good fairy!  Oh, I almost forgot. Urban Sunburn

Hello Earthlings & People of Syracuse,

Jeez, time goes by way too fast on this planet.  Yawn. I can’t believe I have to get up already?!?

Ouch! You should see me! Sunburned head to toe.  You’d think I flew too close to Venus, but no, this is an urban sunburn.  I’m still here at the Great New York State Fair.  I slipped away for a few hours mid-day (like anyone would notice being that I’m covered with EIFD#9 !) and laid in the sun.  Invisible, or not, the sun, she managed to scorch my  “from-the-dark-side-of-the-moon” complexion.   The Moonglow lineage is known for its purple eyes, and skin as white as 11:11 crater sand.  Well, at least my skin matches the new fairykini I got yesterday.  Someone sent me to this little store called De La Renta.  It cost me $3,000 dollars.  Was that a good deal?  I don’t know.  I don’t understand Earth money, yet.  I tried to find a bathing suit here at the fair but no one had any in my size and I’m all out of PSFD#7 (Purple Shrink-it Fairy Dust) .  I bought one of Wicked Wanda’s T-Shirts here at the fair, for my brother.  I’ll shrink it for him when I get back home.

Keith Urban is playing tonight at 7:30 – sorry Lou, but I’m out a here at 7:00!  Maybe even 6:30ish. I’m flushing just thinking about him – the Urban Sunburn.  Bah ha ha.  Do you know that critics say Keith is “one of the best reasons in the world to attend a live concert.”  Oh, yeah?  I say, it’s more like he’s “one of the best reasons in the GALAXY  to attend a live concert!”  I’m going to polish those Swarovski crystals at warp speed today.  Plus,  I’ve got the best seat in the house. His shoulder. That’s right.  I’m going to be sitting on Keith Urbans’ shoulder tonight!  My sisters would flip a comet if they knew!  How’s a fairy expected to work all day knowing that in just a few hours she’ll be sitting on Keith Urbans’ shoulder?

Hmmm…just got a brilliant idea.

This would be THE perfect opportunity to wrap a Moonglow pendant around Keiths’ neck!  He wouldn’t even know I put it there until he wakes up the next morning and looks into the bathroom mirror while brushing his teeth.  He’d yell, “Nicole! How’d I get this moon pendant? Did you put this on me?”  Too funny.  Let’s see…I’ll just plug his date of birth into the moon phase calculator and see during which phase he was born.  His birthday is October 26, 1967.  Got it!  Keith was born during a Waning Crescent Moon – kinda looks like his face in the photo, except reversed!

Uhhhh…if Lou would just let me forward time a bit today.  He gets really mad when I do that.   He says it violates some ethical “Bill of Rights” between us Moon folk, and you Earthlings. What-ever.  It’s just like skipping forward to a good song.  Why listen to a bunch of songs you don’t like when you know there’s a good one waiting for you  in the near future? I don’t see how it’s a problem.  Moon Fairies do this ALL the time.  You know how sometimes the day seems to drag on, and other days it’s over before ya know it. Well, that’s all because of us Moon Fairies!  If I weren’t so ethical I’d forward to at least midday.  Oh well, I’ll just polish the crystals, organize the displays, do the coffee run and take a nap in the pendant box so I’m refreshed for the concert.  I LOVE taking naps in the pendant box.  Some of the still-charged pendants glow, casting shadows across the cardboard.  I feel so at home in that box. Nothing comforts me more than the glow of the Moon.

Holy fairy dust, I’m late for work.  Gotta fly……………………….. Keith Urban………………………have I got a pendant for you!!!

Moon to Syracuse…Come in Syracuse

Hey, Everyone!

It’s Iradora.  Hope you’re having a brilliant, sunlit day here on earth!  Frankly, I’m a bit cranky.  Only 2 people have signed my petition.  Maybe Lou IS right and no one believes in fairies.  That would really suck.  I just can’t believe it’s true. Maybe no one thinks I’m serious, or maybe I’m being impatient. I did  just post the thing yesterday.  Well, Sign My Petition when you have a minute, please! Pretty please, with moon dust on top!

On a happier note (sort of) I’m at the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse.  I say happy because I’m here, but not-so-happy because I’m still invisible.  You know why- EIFD #9!  That’s right. Well, I’ve been here since 10:00 a.m. which is WAAAY too early for any earthling OR fairy to have to get up, let alone go to WORK!  I’ve been straightening the pendants in the display cases, polishing the Swarovski crystals and making Starbucks runs for the reps.  Mocha Frap with soymilk for me!  Yum.  Hmmm….just found a broken crystal.  I’ll have to send this back to the base.   Or… maybe I’ll just keep it on my nightstand to brighten up that incredibly droll hotel room. Really, WHO decorates earths’ hotel rooms?!?  They sure could use a little sprinkle of moon dust here, there and everywhere. I don’t care for  hotels. I prefer trees, if I can’t find a good crater. I was going to spend the night in Central Park but I hear that wouldn’t be such a good idea for a fairy like me.

These  New Yorkers are interesting creatures.  They talk funny.  They seem to have trouble with their “r’s”.  Sometimes they say a word that has an “r” but just pretend it doesn’t.  Like when they say the word, “car”.  It sounds more like “CAH”. Hmmmm…..I wonder if they do that in Words With Friends, too?  Just pretend there aren’t any “r’s”.  Which reminds me, I have 20 games started in Words With Friends.  That’s the limit.  If I could have more, I would.  I’m playing a game with this lady from England and let me tell ya, that Brit has figured out a way to use EVERY space on the board! I don’t know how she does it.  She gets like 70 points with just one letter.  I think I got less than 20 for my favorite 8 letter word:  MOONGLOW!   Well, can’t win ’em all, and with her I haven’t won any.  Oh, speaking about WINNING, have you heard?  MOONGLOW is having a contest – and you can win $500.00 worth of jewelry from our online store!   Wicked good idea don’t you think? We’re here for 12 days: August 23rd through September 3rd!  The weather, she is HOT.  It’s partly cloudy and 82 degrees right now and tomorrow it’s supposed to be sunny and 89 degrees.  Unbelievably, I forgot to pack my fairykini!   Does anyone know where a fairy can get a sparkly swimsuit in Syracuse?!?

Sign Our Petition & Help Iradora: No More EIFD #9

Yawn….well, good morning Earth fairies.  It’s Iradora checking in.  Oh, my, is it noon, already?  This time difference is killing me…rocket lag.  Just kidding, everyone knows fairies don’t need rockets.  Anyway, I just got back from a little vacay. I went home to Crater 11:11- but it wasn’t ALL vacation.  I have a hard time separating business and pleasure because I find the two equally rewarding.  That’s a good thing because Lou gave me quite an extensive to-do- list.  Mainly, I had to oversee quality control at our Moonglow moon base Factory; made sure the mining of the Swarovski crystals is going smoothly.  Everything is in tip-top shape – thanks to me.  Lou is sooo fussy about the business.  He gave me a checklist of about 10,000 things-to-do! And being the fairy I am, I got them all done in a day! I thought the white glove test was a bit extreme, especially since we’re not selling Moon burgers, but hey, at least you can be sure we’re a clean bunch. It’s all good. Lou’s sitting sipping Peña Coladas in Canada designing the latest pendants for ya’ll and at least now he has one less thing to worry about. We shipped 20 tons of moon dust out to Canada. It’s a secret ingredient in all of our pendants.  Hmm….I probably shouldn’t have told you that.  Well, just keep it to yourself.

We have a bunch of events all around the US and Canada.  I’ve wanted to make an official appearance at these things, but Lou says, “No”. Flat out, “no”, and when I ask him why he says, “No one believes in fairies”. What!?! How insulting is that? No one believes in fairies?  Well, it’s just not true.  EVERYONE believes in fairies, and vampires, and dragons, and all magical entities like me, I say.  Anyway, I’m going to start a petition so that ya’ll can sign it and let Lou know that you want to see me – IRADORA MOONGLOW, at upcoming events!  As it is now, I have to dust myself with EIFD #9 (Emerald Invisibility Fairy dust) while at the events. It’s not toxic or anything, at least not physically, but emotionally it’s having quite an effect on me. My self-eesteem is at an all time low. I get no attention whatsoever. I can see everyone, but no one can see ME!  I must admit there are times when I do prefer being invisible, but I don’t want to be invisible when we’re at these FUN EVENTS!  You can tell I’ve been there, though.  Next time you see our booth at an event, just take a really close look at the pedestals where the Moonglow reps sit. Yep, that’s all you have to do. You’ll have to get really close to the fabric. (If any of the reps say anything to you just tell them you’re admiring… their manicure, or something.)  You’ll see a fine trail of iridescent emerald green dust (with a slight purple tint) sprinkled across the black silky cloth. Well, that’s there because of me. It’s remnant EIFD#9.  If you see that, you’ll know I’m there- somewhere. If you call my name out while you’re purchasing a pendant you’ll get the Iradora discount – I just made that up – but hey, try it!  And PA-LEASE, remember to SIGN MY PETITION  Pfff… no one believes in fairies…

Calling All Twilighteers: Wear Rob Pattinsons’ Moon!

Dear Twilighteers & The 4 Other People On The Planet,

I knew Robs’ name would get your fingers clicking.  Any blog with the mention of this enigmatic Venus-ruled-Taurean-heartthrobs’ name is sure to generate cyber crowds in a matter of seconds!  What is the relevance of Rob Pattinson to Moonglow Jewelry, you may wonder.  Well, that’s for you to decide and comment on after you’ve read this moon-inspired blog!

I thought it would be interesting to see during which moon-phase Rob was born. Perhaps even more interesting would be exploring during which moon phase Kristen Stewart strayed.  Sniff. Pass the tissues, please.  But first, I think it’s necessary to officially introduce you to the moon.

Dear Moon, this is one of our Moonglow family members.

Ok, good.  Now, we’re friends and  can share our innermost secrets with one another.  No? Ok, then how about some mind-blowing MOON trivia?

You see her in the sky most evenings, but – do you REALLY know her?  I must tell you she has connections in high places and can turn tides with a flick of her wrist.  She is quite the Olympian; able to circle the Earth in about 27 days,13 hours, 18 minutes, and 37.4 seconds.  Way to go for the gold, Earth Mother!  Her surface temperature can plunge 500 degrees in less than 90 minutes. Ouch!  While Zonies (this is a term of endearment for those living in Arizona) may welcome such phenomena the rest of us are probably thanking our Sun for being so… consistent.  With just a flick of HER wrist we’d melt, thus, Global warming.  But, that’s an entirely different blog.  I digress.  The point is, the Moon, she is amazing – like our Jewelry!

That was a smooth transgression, don’t you think?

Now, back to Rob.

One second please………pouring myself a glass of wine…red wine…plastic goblet…I’m a bit clumsy.   Ok.

What About Rob?  Rob was born May 13, 1986.  Let me just plug that into my Moon Phase Calculator and we’ll know in seconds during which phase he was born.  You can’t hear it but the calculator is very noisy.  It is the sound of my computer thinking.  Hmm…the calculator tells me that Rob was born during a NEW MOON.  Isn’t it Ironic, don’t you think?  Rob was born during a NEW MOON?  I’m suddenly craving popcorn and chocolate covered gummy bears. Why is that?

Do you know what a NEW MOON looks like? Nothing.  That’s right. Nothing at all.  When the moon is new we can’t see it.  Its illuminated half faces away from earth.  Good thing neither half of Rob faces away from earth or there’d be many sad: Twi-hards, Twerds, Fanpires – or, what I like to call – Twilighteers (like Mousekateers for those old enough to relate).

So, now that you know Robs’ moon you have a decision to make.  What MOONGLOW moon phase pendant shall you wear?  Will you choose the phase for your own birthday, or Robs’ birthday. Or, will you choose another significant moment in your life to hold close to your heart.  But hey, don’t limit yourself – you can wear several at the same time!

Last, but not least, during which moon phase did Kristen Stewart stray from her beloved for that……dorky director guy?

Look, just a little back story here – my name is Iradora Moonglow.  I’m just a little moon fairy, from the far side of the moon, who was hired to write for MOONGLOW.  So, don’t go and get all mad at MOONGLOW for me voicing my opinions here on this blog – ok?  My opinions are my opinions, and not necessarily those of MOONGLOW.  But frankly, I think that without biased opinions most facts are beyond boring.  Just ask FOX NEWS!

So, what was I saying?  Oh, I remember.  I was talking about that dorky director guy, and Kristen Stewart.  Really, what was she thinking? Must have been astrological.  That’s the only logical explanation for such an illogical choice.  Anyway, the two connected on July 16th, 2012.  The MOON PHASE CALCULATOR tells me that Kristen strayed during a…….hmm…. there it is again……NEW MOON.   Well, just goes to show you, ANYTHING is possible during a NEW MOON.

In closing, I’d like to let the “Nutty Madam” know that I’ve sprinkled her with some of my “Valerian” dust to help calm her down.

I’d also like to let Rob & Kristen know that I’ve sprinkled them both with my “Love Restoration” dust, and that they’ll be back together in no time at all.

Hmm….I think that was the right bottle…..

Sometimes it looks like a slice of fruit. But you know that the moon is really shaped like a ball. Only the amount of light reflected toward the earth changes.

What happens when the sun, moon, and earth are directly in line with one another? You see the moon as either fully lighted or mostly dark. You can see a full moon only when you are on the nighttime side of the earth.
